...back to right where I first met you...

After lots of searching for the perfect wedding venue...someplace where we could get married outside...but had a back-up option in case the Syracuse weather fails us...reception area close by...and all within a reasonable price range. After some searching it seemed like it was impossible to find something like that! My brother in law come up with a wonderful idea and now...

I am so excited because I get to marry the looooove of mahhh lifeuh exactly where I first met him! On July 3, 2009 in Emmerson Park I met the man who would one day become my best friend, and then my boyfriend, now my fiance and soon to be my husband on July 23, 2011.

My mom and I made the trip to Auburn in sunny 20 degree weather and I booked the building the same day. I'm so excited about this beautiful venue! Not only does it come with character and a great view...it also comes with tables and chairs!!! Stoked to see what I can do with this place :)

HE LIKED IT AND HE PUT A RING ON IT *O 1-15-11 O*

I know that I may be bias but I'm pretty sure that I am engaged to the most amazing man EVER! He picked out this ring for me and it couldn't be more perfect! He even tricked me into giving him my ring size. I'm the read into everything over thinker and he still managed to get my ring size, pick out a ring AND propose to me without me knowing...now THAT is skill!

It's A Love Story, Baby Just Say YES

The rumors are trueee...I am engaged!

For Christmas Dan gave me a fleece jacket, hat, gloves and a voucher for a date he was taking me on. The voucher was for a romantic snowy carriage ride followed by dinner at the restaurant of my choice. But I got way more then I bargained for!

Dan picked me up for our date and we headed out to Nedrow where the carriage ride was. There was tons of snow and it had been snowing steadily since the night before so it was absolutely scenic! We got picked up by a little black buggy and an enormous percheron horse! It was so amazingly beautiful to be tucked away warm(for the most part) in the carriage and get to see all the snow falling around us. Before the ride was over our driver dropped us off to walk around. We made our way through the snow to a big clearing with a small cluster of trees near the edge and started talking about something that I...the over thinker...was dreading. When/If Dan goes federal and leaves for DC. Dan looked at me and said "I know you are worried about me leaving, but you really don't have anything to worry about because I want you to go with me, will you marry me?" That is when he got down on one knee and proposed to me with the most beautiful ring I have ever seen! I wish I could have seen my face cause I guess it was pretty hilarious. I was in complete shock and responded with "Are you serious? Is this really happening?" To which Dan replied, "Well, it's real!" I (obviously) said YES!

I think I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that I'M ENGAGED to THE MAN OF MY DREAMS and I'M GETTING MARRIED!!! I believe I have established permanent residency on cloud 9 and shall continue to live there for quite some time!

I can honestly say I feel so incredibly BLESSED. We have both gotten such positive reactions and feedback from all our family and friends in ways that neither of us expected and it just gets better and better!

The part that makes me laugh is that on Friday night I dreamed Dan proposed to me. I had no idea that he was actually going to! I woke up and dismissed the dream because I had no idea what was going to happen Saturday!

So that is the story! After making some phone calls to excited family and friends Keirsten, Dan's awesome older sister, offered to take some pictures of us in Clinton Square...an offer we couldn't refuse! So now the planning begins and I will have to choose between...

Biology or Bridesmaids dresses...
Homework or Honeymoon...
The Chemical Level of Organization...or centerpieces... WHO WILL WIN?! Tune in next week to find out ;)
